San Diego vigil for imprisoned journalists tonight, Thursday at 6:30

Hello SDAFF friends,

We wanted to put out a friendly reminder that the vigil for Euna Lee and Laura Ling, the two journalists imprisoned in North Korea, will be held today, Thursday, June 18, at 6:30 PM.

We encourage you to tell your friends and family, educate yourself on the situation, and most importantly come and support the vigil.

Laura's sister, Lisa Ling (CNN correspondent), confirmed she will speak during the vigil live by phone. Attendees will also be invited to watch an award-winning documentary called "Shadows and Whispers" which exposes the plight of North Korean children and refugees. The film was directed by Jung-Eun Kim, who risked her life by filming in the same area of Northern China that Euna Lee and Laura Ling were shooting around the time of their arrest.

Thanks for reading and staying connected.
