Come hither to the fluorescence and the radioactive buds of November.
The San Diego Asian Film Festival turns 25, and taking a cue from our Closing Night film, we find ourselves possessed by a new wave of youth, buoyance, and playful reinvention. We are unfazed by the political turbulence, which we swallow and regurgitate as cinematic rebellion.
At this year’s San Diego Asian Film Festival, we stand above the clouds and abide nowhere. Girls will be girls. The dynamic will be extremely unique. Along the way, we pay homage to a legend of Asian American musical activism and we give props to a queen baller. We embrace furry friends, living and gone, and join hands with superboys and mistress dispellers.
As we look ahead to an uncertain 2025 and our next 25 years, this is our chosen posse. Join us!
