About the Design

“A bunny breaks into the cinema screen, exploding into a fluid cycle of deformation and reformation.” – Danski Tang

We wanted this year’s festival identity to capture the fertile, ever-mutating, very-human energies of our creative ecosystems, a life force that continues in spite of this time of deep funding cuts to the arts. We thought it would be fitting to invite SDAFF alum Danski Tang (Umbilical, SDAFF ‘19) as this year’s guest artist. Danski created a hand-drawn animation that has in turn spawned an ever-growing visual world that intrigues, invites, and multiplies.
