11TH FILM FEST OCT 21-28, 2010
Film and lecture during APIA History Month at University of San Diego
The San Diego Asian Film Foundation believes that film is a powerful means to educate and enlighten the masses. It connects us on a deep, meaningful level and influences the way we view the world. We appreciate the educational value of the media arts, and hope our programs provide the type of learning that creates a more cultured and compassionate society.
There's a huge difference between passively watching a film and critically viewing a film. Engaging in discussion after a film also enriches one’s viewing experience. So whenever we offer opportunities for Q&A or to meet the cast and crew of film, take us up on it!
Also, thanks to our friends at the San Diego Film Critics Society, they have put together tips on how to critically watch a film.
