Egghead and Twinkie are BFFs, and it’s their last summer before heading off to college. What’s more, Egghead is in love with Twinkie – except Twinkie is finally ready to come out as lesbian. When her parents freak out at the news, Twinkie decides the two of them should steal a car and go on a really long road trip – except Egghead doesn’t know Twinkie is actually going to finally meet her long-distance, kind-of girlfriend. It’s…a quagmire.

As the first feature film to successfully crowdfund on TikTok, EGGHEAD & TWINKIE is a film that leans into the clumsy and humorous moments of the coming out experience, where the complexities of race and adoption cohabit in a queer space for personal discovery. Come for the exploration of friendship and how to show up for the important people in our lives. Stay for the animation, costume change, and petty theft.
