Wheelchair Accessibility

Accessible parking spaces are available in lots adjacent to all SDAFF screening venues. All auditoriums include wheelchair spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage patrons to request a wheelchair space in advance at accessibility@pacarts.org.

Assistive Technology

Open captioning is on-screen text for all dialogue, sounds, and music, making the majority of the soundtrack accessible to audience members who are hard of hearing.

Closed captioning is optional text for all dialogue, sounds, and music, making the majority of the soundtrack accessible to audience members who are hard of hearing. At the Regal Edwards Mira Mesa, closed captioning is available via the venue’s glasses.

Audio descriptions narrate the film’s key visual elements for audience members who are blind or have low vision. At the Regal Edwards Mira Mesa, audio descriptions are provided through the venue’s headsets.

You can pick up closed captioning and audio description devices at the theater. To guarantee availability, please email accessibility@pacarts.org before the day of the screening. Please check with the festival box office before the screening to pick up the devices.
