For Ryan and Daniel, making videos together has always been at the center of their dynamic. Once little kids running around with a camcorder, now they are best friend filmmakers – specifically, stoners with iPhones. However, with Ryan soon moving away with his fiance in Canada, they only have one last weekend to create the BEST MOVIE EVER.

Under the influence of marijuana and their can-do spirit, the duo decide to go completely meta for their last hurrah and make a movie about two best friends making a movie about two best friends. Trippy. But things get too real when Daniel suggests plotlines mirroring his insecurities around coming out and losing his best friend. Blurring fiction and reality, tensions manifest on- and off- off- off- screen, causing Daniel to confide in an equally-meta Fresh Off the Boat’s Hudson Yang. Will their friendship be finished with the film?

With first-time filmmakers and real life best friend co-stars Ivan Leung and Harrison Xu as your trip setters, EXTREMELY UNIQUE DYNAMIC is an addictive hybrid of bromantic comedy and self-reflexive commentary on Asian American media, all tightly rolled up and ready to warm your lungs and hearts.
