These girls are small-town losers with big city dreams! Slang-spittin’ high school dancers Pil Sun (Kpop star Lee Hye-ri of Girls’ Day fame and Reply 1988) and Mina only have hip-hop on their minds. But to access a real practice room, they forge a cheerleading squad with prissy Seoul transfer Se-hyun to cheer up their subpar soccer team.

Enter an endearing ragtag group of girls who become the Millenium Girls! What starts off as a con to practice hip-hop in peace transforms into tender friendships among oddballs who bond over cheerleading and small town dramas – innocent soccer player love triangles, over-the-top auditions, fist fights with uppity school rivals, and brewing tensions among all their factory-working parents – situations that strengthen their unbreakable solidarity and community in girlhood.

A humbler Bring It On, VICTORY surprises with perfect classic Kpop callbacks, labor strikes, and impending Y2K doomsday predictions and girls supporting each other with performance pride, nighttime meals, and blossoming dreams.
