Interested in joining the team and helping make this year’s San Diego Asian Film Festival a success?
We’d love to have you!
We’re currently seeking individuals and groups to volunteer with several different departments during the festival.
To sign up as an individual volunteer: click here.
Shifts will go live on October 9.
You’ll be prompted to sign up on our online Shiftboard account. Please make sure to use an email address that you check frequently. Through this, we will update you on opportunities to volunteer as they come up and you will be able to sign up for shifts. Note that it will take up to 24 hours to review and process applications.

Please contact our Volunteer Manager, Kait Joven at kait@sdaff.org. She will help find the best fit for you at the festival.
We have 2 volunteer orientations coming up on October 13 and October 14.
More information can be found on Shiftboard or by contacting Kait Joven at kait@sdaff.org. If you are unable to attend, we will also provide brief training at the start of every volunteer shift.
Volunteering comes with Perks!
- Volunteer for 4 hours and receive a voucher for any screening (excluding Opening, Centerpiece, Closing Night, and member-only screenings.
- Volunteer for 15-25 hours and receive a SDAFF Tshirt.
- Volunteer for 25-39 hours and receive a VIP Gift Bag.
- Volunteer for over 40+ hours and receive a Spring Showcase All-Access Pass.
