Filmmaker Juan Martín Hsu travels from Argentina to Taiwan to visit his mother, intending to investigate the circumstances of his father’s murder. Family trips to shrines and karaoke bars, evenings over beer and cigarettes, and loosely connected melodramas unravel a story of grit, diasporic love, and dislocation.
