Aamir Khan and Salman Khan are the legendary duo of ANDAZ APNA APNA, a comedy too zany for audiences in 1994 when it was dubbed a flop upon release, but which has since re-emerged as a bona-fide cult classic and is now considered one of the most hilarious Bollywood films of all time.

Goofing off at his father’s barber shop, Amar (Aamir Khan) has superstar dreams. So does the equally aimless Prem (Salman Khan). Unbeknownst to each other, they both independently hatch the same harebrained scheme for money, love, and fame: sell their fathers’ businesses and hop aboard a bus to find and woo the illustrious Raveena (Ravena Tandon), a rich heiress who has arrived from London in search of true love. The two men trick, lie, and steal their way into Raveena’s orbit. For them, no scheme is too shameless, and no disguise too ridiculous. But on their heels is Raveena’s father Ram Gopal, a couple backstabbing assistants, and the hilarious Crime Master Gogo.

An epic comedy of errors, ANDAZ APNA APNA’s chock-a-block roller coaster of legendary hijinks include mistaken identities, evil twins, false imprisonment, Bollywood parodies, screwball kidnappings, sight gags, slapstick, cameos, wild caricatures, witty wordplay, puns galore, and a few songs thrown in along the way. With some of the biggest Bollywood stars of the 90s, Rajkumar Santoshi’s ANDAZ APNA APNA reminds us that sometimes it’s nice to just sit back in a dark theater and succumb to comedic chaos.
